The hall links the Museum and the Planetarium intellectually and architecturally and demonstrates the workings of the planet, explaining earth's evolution and why there are oceans, continents, earthquakes, mountains, and volcanoes. It explores the forces that influence our climate, the great geochemical cycles that link the physical and biological aspects of the earth, and the special circumstances that make the earth habitable. Features include the Earth Event Wall, Sulfide Chimneys, and the Dynamic Earth Globe, which renders a rotating view of Earth from outer space.
